Our address is 1537 Brantley Road, Fort Myers, FL 33907.  We are located on Brantley Road, which runs East to West from US 41 to Summerlin Road,  just North of College Parkway.  The entrance for the driveway to our building is marked by a large sign.

Atkinson and Associates Insurance was founded in 1971. It has remained a family-owned and locally-operated independent agency, which serves all of Southwest Florida.

‘Independent’ means that we represent multiple A-rated markets in all lines of insurance.  We pick the companies we want to represent, as well as the products we want to sell. Unlike State Farm, Allstate, and Nationwide, we have the ability to shop your insurance, and are not tied to one company and one line of products. Utilizing companies like Hartford, Hanover, Bankers Insurance, FCCI, Progressive, Aetna, and Blue Cross / Blue Shield, to name a few, makes sure that we find the best product and pricing for your Auto, Home, Life, Business, Workers Comp, and Individual and Group Health needs.

As an “all lines” agency, we can write almost anything that is insurable through one of our standard or specialty markets. Just a few of the many products we offer are Business Insurance, Workers Compensation, Bonds, Business and Personal Umbrella’s, Individual and Group Health, Long and Short Term Disability, Medicare Supplemental, Long Term Care, Auto, Home, Boat, Motorcycle, RV, Individual and Group Life, Group Dental, and hard to place risks.

Aside from the previously-discussed ability to shop your insurance, we believe we give a level of customer service that many other places don’t. We don’t use phone voicemail when you call, you’ll speak to a real receptionist who will get you to the right person. You aren’t transferred from one agent to another, like other places where you’ll never know who you’ll talk to next. In addition, we assist you in all aspects of your insurance from coverage, to billing, to claims. In the end, you aren’t just another number, but a client with a name and real needs.

Any member of our staff who discusses coverage with you is a State of Florida licensed agent or Customer Service Representative. In addition, all of our staff completes additional continuing education requirements, ensuring they are as current as possible on relevant issues pertaining to their expertise.

Atkinson and Associates operates using the Applied Agency Management System. This advanced computer software allows us to track and maintain all aspects of your account from each line of coverage, activities, notes, billing and claims. Many of the companies we represent are tied directly to our network, allowing for immediate and seamless integration of your information. This cuts down on delays and greatly diminishes the potential for errors. In addition, we keep a detailed hard file backup of your account. Email and scanning allow us to be able to send you information quickly and efficiently if you prefer this method of communication.
